Igoh Ogbu Dismisses Transfer Rumours, Commits to Slavia Prague Until 2027

Igoh Ogbu, defender for Slavia Prague, has dismissed ongoing speculation linking him with a move away from the Czech club.
The centre-back was instrumental in Slavia Prague’s triumph in the Czech Super League last season.
Ogbu also gained international attention, receiving his first call-up to the Nigerian national team for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe in March.
The 25-year-old went on to make his debut for the Super Eagles in a friendly against Ghana’s Black Stars in May.
In December, Ogbu extended his contract with Slavia Prague, reaffirming his commitment to the club.
Although he still has two years remaining on his current deal with the Red and Whites, transfer rumours have persisted.
However, Ogbu has made it clear that his focus remains on his present club.
“I recently signed a new contract with Slavia Prague, which runs until 2027,” he said in an interview with Flashscore.
“For me, the future is now and it has already begun. My focus is fully on performing in the league and the Champions League. After that, we’ll see what the future holds.”
Ogbu joined Slavia Prague in 2023 from Norwegian club Lillestrøm.
