“I Know I Won’t Come Back”: Summer Walker Dreams of Relocating to Nigeria

American singer says she’s ready to become an African king’s third wife, plans to visit with her children soon

American R&B star Summer Walker has revealed her deep interest in visiting and possibly relocating to Nigeria, saying she feels a strong connection to the country and its culture.

Speaking in a recent interview with BBC Radio 1Xtra, the Grammy-nominated artist shared her excitement about visiting Nigeria, while also admitting she fears she may never return to the United States once she experiences life there. “I want to go to Nigeria so bad. But I’m scared because I know I won’t come back,” she said. “Me and my kids would be put up in some African king’s house. I know it.”

Walker, a mother of three, added that she would be happy to become the third wife of an African king, emphasizing that she is “prepared and ready.” She also spoke highly of Nigerian cuisine, noting that she recently had her first taste of an African dish and loved it.

Though she had initially planned to celebrate her 29th birthday in Nigeria earlier this year, the trip was postponed due to her children falling ill. Still, Walker assured fans that a visit to Nigeria remains firmly on her agenda.
