Hanks Anuku urges Nigerians to give Tinubu time to fix Nigeria

Veteran Nollywood actor Hanks Anuku has called on Nigerians to be patient with President Bola Tinubu, urging citizens to give his administration more time to address the country’s challenges.
Anuku made the appeal during an appearance on The Honest Bunch Podcast, where he argued that Nigerians were too eager to see immediate results from the government.
“It’s difficult for somebody in Nigeria to help you. Now, stick with Mr Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” the actor said.
According to Anuku, the problems confronting Nigeria predated Tinubu’s administration, arguing that the president inherited challenges created by previous governments.
“Nigeria has to be patient for the renewal of this man. The country was not spoilt by him. There were people there before him. Why didn’t they go and attack those people? He has to fix it now,” he said.
Asked whether he believed Tinubu was doing enough, Anuku maintained that the president was performing well.
“He is doing great. Nigeria should be patient. We are too much in a hurry,” he said.
The actor also rejected suggestions that his support for the president could have been influenced by financial inducement.
“Paid? How many people can be better than him because he is this and that? Most people who are gonna come after, maybe they are even worse,” Anuku said.
“So, the devil you know is better.”
Anuku’s comments come as Tinubu’s administration continues to face public scrutiny over the country’s economic and social challenges, with Nigerians divided over the pace and impact of the government’s reforms.
The actor has also attracted public attention in recent times after videos showing him in a distressed state surfaced on social media. Anuku subsequently dismissed concerns raised about his well-being.
