Gary Neville Urges Arne Slot to Drop Milos Kerkez from Liverpool Lineup

Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville has advised Liverpool manager Arne Slot to remove Milos Kerkez from his starting lineup, insisting the left-back has become a weak link in the Reds’ defence.

Neville made the comments following Liverpool’s 3–2 Premier League defeat to Brentford over the weekend.“I actually think that there were quite a few of those games they’ve lost that they could’ve won,” Neville told Metro UK.

“Early in the season, I felt their full-backs weren’t right — maybe [Ibrahima] Konate at times wasn’t right — and Virgil van Dijk was holding them together, with Alisson in goal.
“You’ve got two world-class performers there in Van Dijk and Alisson, but the virus is catching. It’s not just going into the left-back.
“The left-back [Kerkez] is becoming a worry. He scored last night [against Brentford], but watching him, he has to be taken out, I think.”

Liverpool will look to bounce back when they face Aston Villa in their next Premier League fixture.
