Former Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur forward Gareth Bale has shared his Premier League title prediction following Chelsea’s emphatic victory in the FIFA Club World Cup.
The Blues delivered a commanding performance on Sunday, defeating Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 to claim the Club World Cup title. Cole Palmer netted twice, while Joao Pedro added another goal to seal the win.
Bale, now 36, believes Chelsea are on track to mount a serious challenge for the 2025 Premier League title. Speaking to DAZN via Football.London, he said, “I don’t think they’re far off at all. Last season, they were still being talked about as title contenders around Christmas.”
He went on to commend the team’s resilience, noting, “They’ve shown real character, first by winning the Conference League, and now this. Confidence will be sky-high, and that self-belief is crucial.”
