The Nigerian football fraternity has been plunged into mourning following the confirmed passing of former international striker Michael Eneramo. According to reports, the 40-year-old tragically collapsed during a training session in Kaduna on Friday morning. Despite immediate medical interventions and strenuous attempts to resuscitate the veteran forward, he was unfortunately pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
Eneramo, a powerful presence in the final third during his playing days, represented the Nigerian national team on ten occasions, finding the back of the net three times for the Super Eagles. His contributions to the national setup were acknowledged by the team’s official media channels as the news broke.

The striker’s professional journey began in the domestic circuit with Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Lobi Stars. His talent quickly earned him a move to the North African giants, Espérance Sportive de Tunis, where he established a formidable reputation. Eneramo eventually became a household name in Turkish football, enjoying a prolific career across several prominent clubs, including Beşiktaş, Sivasspor, Istanbul Başakşehir, Karabükspor, and Manisaspor.
