Nigeria’s Flying Eagles are set to feature in an invitational tournament in China next week as they intensify preparations for the upcoming WAFU B U-17 Championship.
The team began training camp in Abuja last Tuesday under the supervision of coach Eboboritse Uwejamomere as part of efforts to build a competitive squad for the regional tournament.
Most of the players currently in camp were drawn from participants in last year’s FIFA Talent Development Scheme (TDS) U-15 programme.
Officials are expected to further streamline the squad following the tournament in China ahead of the next phase of preparations.
Burkina Faso will host the WAFU B U-17 Championship in November, with the competition serving as the qualifying event for the 2027 Africa U-17 Cup of Nations.
