The FA Cup goal that Chelsea player Carney Chukwuemeka scored on Sunday against Leicester City is credited to Mauricio Pochettino.
Remember how Chukwuemeka scored a goal in the Blues’ 4-2 victory over Leicester City after entering the game as a substitute?
He said in an interview with BBC Match of the Day that Pochettino advised him to follow his instincts.
“I enjoyed it,” he told BBC Match of the Day of his goal and performance after the game.
“Coach [Pochettino] said ‘just go on and do what we know you can do, express yourself’, and that is what I did.
“Obviously I’ve got to thank my boy Cole for the one-two. To be fair before the game he said to me he was going to assist me if I come on, so fair play to him.”
