Defence Minister Celebrates Oluremi Tinubu, Commends Her Service

The Minister of Defence, Gen. Christopher Gwabin Musa (retd.), has congratulated the First Lady, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, on her birthday, describing her as a beacon of hope, compassion and grace.

Musa, in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media, Leah Katung-Babatunde, said the First Lady’s service, leadership and support for President Bola Tinubu had continued to inspire Nigerians.

The minister particularly commended Tinubu’s initiatives aimed at empowering women and youths, supporting vulnerable communities and promoting social welfare through the Renewed Hope Initiative.

He also praised her support for members of the Armed Forces and their families, noting her empathy and encouragement for personnel serving on the frontlines.

“Her motherly guidance, wisdom, and selfless advocacy for peace and national unity remain invaluable to the nation,” Musa said.

He prayed for the First Lady’s continued good health, long life, wisdom and strength to enable her sustain her service to humanity and support the President in advancing peace, security and prosperity in Nigeria.

The Defence Minister said the Ministry of Defence, the Armed Forces of Nigeria and his family joined the First Family, friends and well-wishers in celebrating the First Lady and wishing her many more years of impactful service.
