Court Grants Halle Bailey Restraining Order Against DDG Amid Abuse Allegations

Singer and actress Halle Bailey has been granted a domestic violence restraining order against her ex-boyfriend and the father of her child, rapper DDG, following serious allegations of physical abuse.

According to TMZ, court documents were filed Tuesday in Los Angeles by the Little Mermaid star. In the filings, Bailey alleges that an incident in January turned violent during a custody exchange involving their nearly 18-month-old son, Halo. The pair reportedly ended their relationship in October 2024.

Bailey claims the altercation escalated when she attempted to discuss a visitation schedule. While buckling Halo into a car seat, she says DDG became aggressive, yelling, “Get out of my car, BITCH,” which caused the child to cry. She further alleges that a physical struggle ensued, during which DDG pulled her hair, slammed her face into the steering wheel, and chipped her tooth.

Bailey reportedly provided authorities with photographic evidence of a bruised arm and her chipped tooth, along with a video showing DDG damaging her ring camera and throwing her phone.

The judge approved the restraining order, which requires DDG to stay at least 100 yards away from Bailey and prohibits him from making any public statements about her or their son — including during his livestreams, where Bailey alleges he has incited fans against her.

The court also granted Bailey permission to travel with Halo to Italy for an upcoming two-month film shoot.

DDG has previously claimed that Bailey was preventing him from seeing their son, prompting widespread online discussion. As of this report, he has not issued a formal response to the allegations. However, a recent livestream clip shows him visibly agitated while addressing news of the restraining order.
