Columbus Crew Sign Nigerian Striker Aliyu Ibrahim from Houston Dynamo in $450,000 Deal

Nigerian forward Aliyu Ibrahim has officially joined Major League Soccer (MLS) side Columbus Crew in a player transfer deal from Houston Dynamo FC.
The Black and Gold secured Ibrahim’s services in a cash-for-player trade, paying an initial $450,000 to acquire the talented striker. The fee could increase to as much as $750,000, depending on performance-based incentives. Additionally, Houston Dynamo will retain a sell-on percentage should Ibrahim be transferred to another club in the future.
Ibrahim has signed a one-year contract with Columbus Crew, which includes the option to extend for an additional two years.
Speaking about the acquisition, Crew General Manager Issa expressed enthusiasm over the signing. “Aliyu is a young and dynamic player whose experience in MLS and the international level adds valuable depth and gives us another quality attacking option,” Issa said via the club’s official website. “We are excited to welcome Aliyu to Columbus and look forward to integrating him into our squad.”
