
Four nations have secured qualification for the Round of 16 at the 2026 FIFA World Cup following the conclusion of the opening Round of 32 matches.
As of Tuesday morning, Canada, Paraguay, Morocco and Brazil have all confirmed their places in the next phase of the competition.
Canada advanced first after edging South Africa 1-0 on Sunday, while Paraguay and Morocco progressed on Monday via penalty shootouts against Germany and the Netherlands respectively.
Paraguay forced a 1-1 draw with Germany before winning 4-3 on penalties in Boston, while Morocco also drew 1-1 with the Netherlands before claiming a 3-2 shootout victory in Monterrey.
Brazil completed the list after defeating Japan 2-1 in Houston, bringing the total number of teams through to the Round of 16 to four.
