CAF Officially Welcomes Nigeria’s Flying Eagles to Egypt for 2025 U-20 AFCON

Nigeria’s Flying Eagles have been officially welcomed to Egypt by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) ahead of the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.
The welcoming ceremony took place at the Jewel Sports City Hotel in Cairo, where CAF officials briefed the players and team officials on the tournament’s rules and regulations.
Following the briefing, the team was relocated to their official accommodation at the Radisson Blu Hotel, also located in Cairo.
The Flying Eagles, led by head coach Aliyu Zubairu, arrived in Egypt last week Sunday in preparation for the biennial tournament.
Nigeria will begin their campaign against Tunisia on Thursday. The match is scheduled to take place at the June 30 Air Defence Stadium in Cairo, with kick-off set for 4 p.m. Nigerian time.
