Bayern Revive Nicolas Jackson Deal with Chelsea in £70.5m Agreement

Nicolas Jackson’s proposed move to Bayern Munich has been revived after the German champions reached a revised £70.5 million

Nicolas Jackson’s proposed move to Bayern Munich has been revived after the German champions reached a revised £70.5 million agreement with Chelsea.

The deal had initially collapsed when Liam Delap sustained an injury against Fulham on Saturday, prompting Chelsea to reconsider the transfer despite Jackson already being in Munich for medical tests over the weekend.

Following fresh negotiations, both clubs have now settled on improved terms. Bayern will pay an increased loan fee of £14.25m (€16.4m), up from the previously agreed £13m (€15m). The agreement also includes an obligation to buy the Senegal international for £56.25m (€65m).

Under the earlier arrangement, Bayern had only secured an option to make the move permanent. Chelsea, however, insisted on a mandatory clause to finalise the transfer next year, which has now been incorporated into the updated deal.
