Newly promoted Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side, Barau FC, have bolstered their squad with the addition of experienced duo Jimmy Ambrose and Emmanuel Okoko Jr.
Ambrose joins from Plateau United, while Okoko Jr. arrives from Katsina United, bringing valuable experience to the NPFL newcomers.
Between them, the two players have amassed over 200 appearances in the league, further strengthening Barau FC’s squad ahead of their debut NPFL campaign.
It will be recalled that Barau FC recently appointed veteran coach Ladan Bosso as technical adviser to lead the team into the top flight.
Barau FC are set to face eight-time NPFL champions Enyimba in their opening match of the 2025/26 season.
The new NPFL season is scheduled to kick off on Friday, August 22.
