Nigerian Afrobeats star Ayra Starr has secured her first entry on the Billboard World Albums chart, with her latest project, Starrgirl, debuting at No. 4.
The achievement appears on the Billboard World Albums chart for the week ending August 29, 2026, barely two weeks after the album was released.
Starrgirl, which arrived on August 14 through Mavin Records and Republic Records, sits behind three K-pop projects on the latest chart.
Stray Kids’ This & That occupies the top spot, while CORTIS’ GREEN GREEN and ATEEZ’s Golden Hour: Part.5 rank second and third respectively.
South African singer Tyla’s APOP completes the top five at No. 5.
The 16-track project is Ayra Starr’s third studio album and follows 19 & Dangerous, released in 2021, and The Year I Turned 21, which dropped in 2024.
The album features a blend of Nigerian and international collaborations, with appearances from Wizkid, Rema, Zayn, Leon Thomas, kwn, Danny Ocean and Theodora.
