Another batch of 129 Sudan returnees arrives in Abuja

The Federal Government has evacuated another 129 Nigerians, who were stuck in the heat of the ongoing crisis in Sudan.

They arrived on Monday morning at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on Tarco Air, a Sudanese Airline, around 9.15am.

Upon their arrival at 9:15 am, the returnees were processed by officials with the filling of the returnee registration forms handed to them by government officials.

Comprising 124 adults and 5 infants, they were received by officials of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Nigeria Immigration Service.

This recent evacuation brings to 1,600 Nigerians that have been evacuated since the exercise commenced last Wednesday.
