Amorim Keen to Keep Bruno Fernandes Amid Transfer Talk

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has affirmed his desire to keep club captain Bruno Fernandes at Old Trafford.
Addressing the media today, Amorim emphasized Fernandes’s significance to the team’s plans: “He’s really important for us and really important for what we want to build with this team,” he said.
Amorim’s comments come in response to ongoing speculation over the Portugal international’s future, sparked by remarks Fernandes made last week.
Despite Manchester United enduring a disappointing campaign—finishing 15th in the Premier League—Fernandes was a standout performer. The team’s season concluded with a 1-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur, a result that ultimately cost them a place in next season’s UEFA Champions League.
Uncertainty now surrounds Fernandes’s future, with reports indicating that Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal are prepared to offer a staggering £100 million to sign the 30-year-old, should he decide to leave the club.
Amorim, however, underscored the midfielder’s importance, particularly in challenging moments: “The last game the team was without pressure, they performed quite well, everybody wants the ball, the team has different moments and in different moments Bruno [Fernandes] takes responsibility.”
