AEDC launches MyPower apps to improve customer access to electricity services

The Abuja Electricity Distribution Plc (AEDC) has launched its MyPower Mobile and Web Apps, providing customers with faster and easier access to electricity services through mobile devices and web browsers.

Omede Odekina, Head, Marketing and Corporate Communications, Abuja Electricity Distribution Plc. (AEDC). disclosed this in a Statement in Abuja.

The digital platforms, according to the Statement, unveiled as part of the company’s Customer Service Week activities, allow customers to buy electricity tokens, pay bills, report outages and service issues, and lodge and track complaints remotely.

Customers can also monitor energy consumption, access bills and payment receipts, manage multiple accounts and meters, and update their personal information through the platforms.

A key feature of the apps is a staff verification service, which enables customers to confirm the identity of AEDC personnel before granting them access to their premises.

Speaking at the launch, AEDC Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Chijioke Z. Okwuokenye, said the platforms were part of the company’s efforts to become more customer-focused and digitally driven.

He said the initiative would give customers greater control over how they access AEDC services while improving the company’s responsiveness to their needs.

Chief Operating Officer, Engr. Blessing Ogbe, said the apps would help the company improve the customer experience by using feedback to redesign processes and service channels.

The MyPower Mobile App is available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, while the web version can be accessed through crm.abujaelectricity.com.

AEDC serves customers across the Federal Capital Territory, Kogi, Niger and Nasarawa states.
