Despite Real Madrid’s heavy 3-0 defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday in the quarter-final first leg, Mbappe remains optimistic about his team’s chances.
The Gunners secured a dominant victory with two goals from Declan Rice and one from Mikel, leaving Carlo Ancelotti’s side with a significant challenge ahead in the return leg at the Santiago Bernabeu next Wednesday.
After the match, Mbappe urged his Real Madrid teammates to maintain their belief and fight until the very end. “The comeback is possible, of course. We have to believe until the end,” he said, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.
Real Madrid’s next fixture is a La Liga clash against Alaves this Sunday, where they will look to bounce back before the crucial Champions League encounter.
