Nollywood actress Kemi Afolabi has criticised people who rejoice over the suffering or death of others, describing such behaviour as diabolical.
In an Instagram post on Friday, the actress reminded the public that death is inevitable for everyone.
Reacting to what she considered insensitive responses to other people’s misfortunes, she wrote, “We all are gonna bite the dust. Your jubilation over another’s afflictions or death is diabolical.”
Afolabi disclosed in August that she had undergone several surgeries in 2026 following a lupus flare-up.
Her remarks come amid her ongoing battle with lupus, an incurable autoimmune disease in which the immune system attacks the body’s own tissues and can damage various organs.
