Toluwanisings’ Family Announces October 27 Date for Service of Songs

The family of Nigerian gospel singer Olayemi Bayonle Bolaji, popularly known as Toluwanisings, has scheduled a night of tributes and service of songs in his honour for October 27, 2026.

The event will take place at Jogor Center Hall of Grace in Ibadan, Oyo State, beginning at 3pm.

The family announced the arrangements in a post on the singer’s social media page on Wednesday, inviting friends, fans and members of the gospel music community to celebrate his life.

“We invite you to join us for a Night of Tributes and Service of Songs in honour of our beloved brother, friend, and gospel minister, Olayemi Bayonle Bolaji, fondly known as Toluwanisings,” the statement read.

The announcement comes nearly two weeks after the singer died on October 14, 2026.

Singer’s death sparks concerns over emergency healthcare

Toluwanisings died hours after ministering at singer Bidemi Olaoba’s praise concert in Ibadan.

Following his death, his personal assistant reportedly said the gospel minister slumped at his residence and was turned away by eight hospitals in the city because they lacked the equipment needed to provide emergency care.

The circumstances surrounding his death have generated widespread reactions on social media, with some celebrities and members of the public criticising Nigeria’s healthcare system and questioning the availability of emergency medical services.

The October 27 gathering will provide an opportunity for family, friends, colleagues and admirers to pay their final tributes to the singer.
