Eniola Badmus Seeks Reconciliation With Laide Bakare After Interview Backlash

Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus has apologised to her colleague Laide Bakare following criticism of her reaction during a recent podcast interview.
Badmus issued the apology on Tuesday through a series of posts on Instagram after her response to Bakare’s name being mentioned on the Curiosity Made Me Asked podcast attracted negative reactions online.
Acknowledging that her response may have been perceived as dismissive, the actress expressed regret and called for an end to any tension between them.
“On reflection, I realise my reaction when Laide Bakare’s name was mentioned during my recent interview could have come across as dismissive, and for that, I sincerely apologise,” she wrote.
Addressing Bakare directly, Badmus said she preferred reconciliation over continued disagreements and expressed goodwill towards her colleague.
“Laide, whatever our differences, I choose peace and I genuinely wish you well. Joo maa binu (please don’t be offended) no negativity. No grudges. Let love lead and peace reigns,” she added.
The apology comes amid reports of strained relations between the two actresses. Badmus’s statement signals her willingness to make peace following the controversy surrounding the interview.
