Ifada wins marketing leadership award at 2026 EDGE Awards

Ifada has received the Leadership Award in Marketing at the 2026 EDGE Awards, adding another major honour to her career in the marketing and fast-moving consumer goods sector.

According to a statement issued on Friday, the award was presented at the 14th edition of the EDGE Awards, organised by MARKETING EDGE in Lagos.

Held under the theme, “Celebrating Excellence Beyond Borders,” the event brought together leading professionals, brands, agencies and business executives from Nigeria’s marketing communications industry.

The recognition follows another career milestone in August, when Ifada was unveiled in Lagos as one of three African marketing and brand executives selected for the Africa 2 Class of Black At’s 2027 DARE Awards. She was named alongside Mabel Adeteye of Wema Bank and Amaechi Okobi of Access Bank.

Ifada began her career with FrieslandCampina WAMCO in 2003 as a management trainee in the Consumer Marketing Department and progressed through several strategic positions before becoming Marketing Director.

Her influence also extends beyond Nigeria, having served as a judge for the SABRE Awards EMEA, Native Advertising Awards and International ECHO Awards in 2026.

The latest honour adds to a growing list of accolades, including Marketing Director of the Year at the 2025 Brand Handlers Awards and Outstanding Marketing Amazon of the Year at the EDGE Awards.

She has also been named Nigeria Marketing Amazon at the Nigeria Marketing Awards and twice listed among WIMCA’s Top 50 Most Influential Women in Marketing and Communications.

MARKETING EDGE Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief Amos Oladele said the awards celebrate professionals and organisations that challenge established practices, embrace innovation and deliver exceptional results.

The latest recognition further highlights Ifada’s more than two decades of experience in the FMCG and marketing industry.
