Leao is set to wear the number in Portugal’s upcoming matches against Denmark and Norway, following Ronaldo’s reported frustration over limited playing time under head coach Jorge Jesus.
Morgan reacted to the decision in a post on X, describing it as disgusting and shameful while questioning the treatment of Ronaldo, who has been a key figure for the national team.
Leao, meanwhile, welcomed the opportunity to wear the shirt, saying Ronaldo remains his role model.
