Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman says Nigeria are focused on opening their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign with a victory.
Nigeria will host Madagascar at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo next Thursday before travelling to Bissau for their second qualifier against Guinea-Bissau on September 29.
Lookman expects both fixtures to present a strong test but says the three-time African champions are determined to collect maximum points.
“The whole team is really looking forward to it. Two very important matches are coming up, and the opponents are, of course, tough to face,” Lookman said in Sporty TV as quoted by footballapp.
“But we’re eager to win both of these games. We know the matches will be difficult, but we’ll do everything we can to achieve it.”
