Cesc Fabregas has been named Serie A Coach of the Year after guiding Como to a remarkable fourth-place finish in the 2025/26 campaign.
The former Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder received the honour at the Gran Galà del Calcio AIC ceremony at Teatro alla Scala in Milan on Wednesday.
The Italian Footballers’ Association (AIC) selected Fabregas for the award, while Inter Milan were named Serie A Club of the Year.
The recognition followed Como’s historic campaign, with the club finishing fourth on 71 points and earning Champions League qualification for the first time in its history.
Fabregas’ achievement also makes him only the third non-Italian manager to claim the prestigious award, following Sweden’s Sven-Göran Eriksson and Portugal’s José Mourinho.
Eriksson was the first foreign recipient after leading Lazio to the Serie A title in the 1999/2000 season, while Mourinho won the award in successive campaigns after delivering domestic and European success with Inter.
Fabregas’ honour caps a breakthrough season for Como and marks another major milestone in his emerging managerial career.
