Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has revealed just how deeply his loyalty to Arsenal runs, saying he would choose a Premier League title for the club over winning a Grammy Award.
The rapper made the striking comparison during an interview with Capital XTRA, where he reflected on Arsenal’s successful 2025/26 title campaign and the emotional significance of finally seeing the north London club crowned champions.
Arsenal secured their first Premier League title in 22 years in May 2026, finishing seven points ahead of Manchester City.
Odumodublvck recalled an encounter with Super Eagles midfielder Eberechi Eze following Arsenal’s defeat to Manchester City during the title race.
According to the rapper, he met Eze the following day while they were filming a New Balance commercial. Eze, he said, remained confident that Arsenal would eventually claim the title.
“When we lost to Manchester City, I saw Eze the next day when we were doing a New Balance commercial and he told me we’re gonna win the league and I said yes, I believe,” he said.
For Odumodublvck, that belief made the eventual triumph particularly meaningful.
Asked to choose between winning a Grammy and seeing Arsenal lift the Premier League trophy, the rapper did not hesitate.
He said the league title would be his choice, stressing that the achievement meant more to him personally than music’s most prestigious individual award.
“So stuff like that for me, winning the league was everything. If you gave me the opportunity to win a Grammy Award or let Arsenal win that Premier League, I would have chosen that Premier League. Take it to the bank,” he said.
Odumodublvck went further by referring to a controversial moment involving Arsenal and West Ham as he illustrated the depth of his preference.
He posed a hypothetical scenario in which he could win a Grammy but would have to give up the possibility of Arsenal securing the league title.
His answer remained the same: he would take the Premier League trophy.
The rapper’s passion for Arsenal has long been evident in his music and public appearances. His 2023 breakout track, “Declan Rice”, became closely associated with the midfielder’s eventual move to Arsenal and further cemented his reputation as one of the club’s most outspoken celebrity supporters.
His latest comments come after Arsenal finally ended their long wait for the Premier League crown. The Gunners were confirmed champions after Manchester City drew 1-1 with Bournemouth, before Mikel Arteta’s side lifted the trophy following their final-day victory over Crystal Palace.
For a rapper whose public identity is closely intertwined with football culture, Odumodublvck’s choice underscores the personal significance Arsenal’s title triumph held for him.
And when forced to choose between a Grammy and seeing the Gunners crowned champions, his answer was unequivocal: Arsenal first.
