Burna Boy, Shakira’s ‘Dai Dai’ Keeps World Cup Magic Alive With Fifth Billboard No. 1

Burna Boy and Shakira’s Dai Dai is showing remarkable staying power, remaining at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 for a fifth week and extending its reign on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart to eight weeks.
Billboard reported the latest chart achievement on Tuesday, underscoring the continued global demand for the official 2026 FIFA World Cup song even after the tournament concluded.
The track’s latest run follows its earlier breakthrough on the Billboard Global 200, where it became the first official FIFA World Cup song to reach the top of the chart. It has also maintained its position atop the Global Excl. U.S. ranking.
According to data from Luminate cited by Billboard, Dai Dai generated 44.1 million global streams and 6,000 sales during the July 7–13 tracking period.
Outside the United States, the song accumulated 37.8 million streams and 4,000 sales, retaining the No. 1 position on the Global Excl. U.S. chart.
Burna Boy, Shakira maintain global momentum
The song’s performance has extended beyond streaming and sales.
In the United States, Dai Dai continued to gain ground across radio formats, reaching No. 3 among the biggest gainers on the Rhythmic Airplay chart.
The track also spent a week at No. 1 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart in late July, adding another milestone to its post-World Cup run. Billboard previously reported that the song reached No. 1 on Latin Airplay after climbing from No. 4.
Its momentum has continued despite the conclusion of the World Cup on July 19, when Spain defeated Argentina 1-0 in the final.
The song had already established itself as a major global hit during the tournament. Billboard reported that it reached No. 1 on the Global 200 in the chart dated July 18 after recording 41.5 million worldwide streams and 6,000 sales during the July 3–9 tracking week.
The continued dominance of Dai Dai gives Burna Boy another major international chart achievement and further cements the Nigerian Afrobeats star’s presence on the global music stage.
For Shakira, the collaboration adds another major milestone to her long association with FIFA World Cup music, while the song’s sustained chart performance demonstrates that its appeal has extended beyond the football tournament that inspired it.
