Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has questioned the Independent National Electoral Commission over the delay in uploading results from the Osun State governorship election to its Result Viewing, IReV, portal.
In a post on X on Saturday, Davido expressed concern that no results had been uploaded to the platform as of 2:33 p.m., despite voting already taking place across the state.
The singer called on INEC to provide timely updates and ensure transparency in the electoral process.
He wrote, “INEC, it is now 2:33 p.m., yet no result has been uploaded to the IReV portal. What is the delay? Nigerians deserve transparency and timely updates.
Davido’s comments came as voters across Osun State cast their ballots to elect the next governor.
The IReV portal allows the public to access polling-unit results electronically after they are uploaded by INEC, with the aim of strengthening transparency in the collation process.
