Championship club Millwall have prevented Femi Azeez from joining the Super Eagles squad for the upcoming friendly matches against Poland and Portugal.
Azeez had been called up to replace Samuel Chukwueze following his impressive displays at the Unity Cup invitational tournament.
The winger made an instant impact on his Nigeria debut, scoring twice in the victory over Zimbabwe.
Reports indicate that Millwall’s decision is connected to ongoing transfer interest in the former Watford player.
The Lions are said to have rejected a €20 million bid from newly promoted Premier League side Ipswich Town for the 24-year-old.
Azeez has also been linked with moves to Bournemouth and Brighton & Hove Albion.
