President Bola Tinubu has secured a decisive victory in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary held in Ward L2, Eti-Osa Local Government Area of Lagos State.

The exercise, conducted on Saturday at Ireti Nursery and Primary School in Ikoyi, saw the President polling 4,996 votes out of 5,163 accredited voters.

The direct primary was organised ahead of the 2027 general election, with Tinubu and businessman Sterlyn Osifo listed as contenders for the party’s presidential ticket.

Voting began early in the day under tight security, with a large turnout of party members and supporters participating in the process.

Several high-profile APC figures were present to observe the exercise, including Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, former Minister of Finance Wale Edun, APC Lagos State Chairman Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, and party stakeholder Kola Peregrino.

Tinubu arrived at the polling unit at about 11:35 a.m., shortly after voter accreditation had been concluded.

Ahead of the voting process, APC Lagos State Chairman Ojelabi commended party members for the orderly conduct of the exercise, describing it as peaceful and well organised.

At the conclusion of the poll, the ward returning officer, Martha Adikwu, announced that Tinubu had won overwhelmingly, confirming his dominance in the exercise with a wide margin over other participants.
