KieKie Reveals She Lived with Husband Before Wedding to Cut Costs

Nigerian actress and content creator Oluwabukunmi Adeaga-Ilori, widely known as KieKie, has shared details about her decision to live with her husband shortly before their wedding.
Speaking in an interview with media personality Toke Makinwa, KieKie said she moved in with her partner for four months ahead of their white wedding, citing financial reasons.
According to her, the move came after her rent expired during the period they were finalising plans for their церomony, which was scheduled for January. Rather than renew her lease, she opted to stay with her husband, noting that they had already completed their traditional marriage rites.
KieKie explained that the decision was rooted in practicality, adding that she saw no need to spend money on rent for such a short time frame. She acknowledged that some people might disapprove of the arrangement but maintained that it was a sensible choice.
She also disclosed that their church was not aware of the living arrangement at the time, noting that she remained active in church activities, including singing, during that period.
Her comments have since sparked conversations around cultural expectations, finances, and modern relationship choices, particularly among young couples navigating marriage preparations.
