Manchester United forward Bryan Mbeumo has revealed his admiration for Lionel Messi, naming the Argentine as his all-time favorite player, ahead of football icon Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Cameroonian international shared his thoughts during a recent appearance on the F2Freestylers show, where he was asked to select eight of his favorite players, each from a different country chosen by the presenter.
When choosing between football’s greatest, Mbeumo admitted that Messi’s influence has had a deeper impact on him than that of the Manchester United legend, Cristiano Ronaldo.
Among his selections, Wayne Rooney was his pick from England, while he chose Juninho to represent Brazil and Andrea Pirlo from Italy. He acknowledged Ronaldo as the best player in Portugal’s history, and selected Andres Iniesta for Spain and Toni Kroos for Germany.
For Argentina, Messi stood out as the greatest in Mbeumo’s view, while Eden Hazard was his pick from Belgium.
In a previous interview, Mbeumo had expressed his admiration for both Messi and Ronaldo, describing them as role models he looked up to throughout his career.
