Blessing CEO Defends Fiancé IVD After Airport Arrest Over 2022 Domestic Violence Case

Relationship therapist slams ongoing police detention, calls it unjust and emotionally manipulative

Controversial relationship therapist Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has condemned the recent arrest of her fiancé, Ikechukwu Ogbonna, better known as IVD by the Lagos State Police Command.

IVD, a popular auto dealer, was reportedly apprehended at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos while attempting to travel to Qatar. His arrest is believed to be linked to an ongoing investigation into the 2022 domestic violence case involving the death of his late wife, Bimbo Ogbonna.

Reacting via Instagram on Tuesday, Blessing CEO expressed outrage over the arrest, insisting that her fiancé is being unfairly targeted and emotionally tormented. She declared her readiness to confront those she believes are behind the alleged intimidation.

“They are bullying IVD, and it’s getting out of hand,” she wrote. “IVD is innocent. I am not a coward. These people are using my man, and I won’t tolerate this anymore.”

In a follow-up post, she questioned the legality of the arrest, stating that IVD’s passport had only recently been renewed after being missing for two years, and that there was no court order barring him from travelling. She also claimed there was no formal case file or official charge at the time of his detention.

According to her, police authorities told them IVD would remain in custody until Monday, despite not issuing any formal statement. She described the situation as a show of power, alleging that her fiancé has been under intense pressure and psychological manipulation since the case began three years ago.

The Lagos State Police Command has yet to issue an official statement on the latest development. The high-profile case continues to draw widespread public attention, with supporters and critics closely monitoring its progress.
