Uzodimma Swears In 24 Permanent Secretaries, Reaffirms Commitment to Civil Service Reform
The Imo State Governor urges new appointees to lead with innovation and integrity, pledges continued support for efficient service delivery.

Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, on Monday administered the oath of office to 24 newly appointed Permanent Secretaries, in a move aimed at strengthening the administrative capacity of the state civil service.
Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony held at the Government House in Owerri, Governor Uzodimma reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to professionalizing the civil service and ensuring that promotions and appointments adhere strictly to due process.
He noted that the new appointments were made in full compliance with the Imo State Civil Service rules, emphasizing merit, professionalism, and competence. According to him, this move aligns with his broader reforms to enhance governance and ensure effective policy execution across all ministries and departments.
“We remain committed to providing the statutory and institutional support needed to optimize the performance of the civil service,” Uzodimma said. He further tasked the new Permanent Secretaries with delivering excellence in leadership, innovation, and service delivery.
The governor also reminded them of their critical role in translating government policies into tangible outcomes, urging them to work with diligence and integrity.
Those appointed include: Ejiaku Ngozi, Ihezue Samuel, Chukwudi Iheanacho, Noku John Onyedika, Egwuagu Gloria, Obilor Angela N., Iroh Gabriel Anosike, Nnaji Dorathy Igaturuchi, Amafili Kelechi, and Izuwa Obilor.
Others are Onyeagocha Onyinyechi, Okeji Chidiebere, Okafor Linus, Nwosu Roseline, Moneme Fred, Iwuagwu Ifeoma, Okorie Chinonye, Chibuzo Obinna, Adinnu Kennedy, Ndubueze Nkechi, Utazi Dorathy C., Dr. Alexander Onwumere, Ijeoma Assumpta, and Iheka Scholastica.
The ceremony marks a significant step in Governor Uzodimma’s ongoing efforts to reposition Imo’s civil service for better governance and accountability.
