Nollywood actress Esther Nwachukwu, better known as Esther Sky, has weighed in on the ongoing drama surrounding the Edochie family, urging May Edochie to drop her estranged husband Yul Edochie’s surname.
Her advice comes in the wake of the escalating feud between May and Yul’s brother, Linc Edochie’s wife, Yinka, who recently leaked private phone numbers online, further deepening the family conflict. In a viral Instagram video, Esther expressed her belief that Yul’s family, including Nollywood actress Rita Edochie, is united against May.
Esther suggested that May has already built her own identity and no longer needs to associate with the Edochie name, stressing, “With all due respect, drop Yul Edochie’s name for peace to reign. Even if your documents are tied to May Yul Edochie, you can go to court. You’re winning right now. There’s nothing special about the name, so go ahead and post online with your new name.”
She continued, accusing Yul’s family of conspiring against May: “The entire family has turned against her. All of Yul’s siblings have been bought, and if they weren’t talking about Queen May behind closed doors, Yul’s new wife wouldn’t have the audacity to drag her publicly.”
Esther also called out veteran actor Pete Edochie for staying silent amid the ongoing family turmoil. “I’m calling you out, Pete Edochie. Sir, with all due respect, it’s time for you to step in and stop this madness in your family. You’re the one who can put an end to this. Enough is enough.”
