US Rapper DDG Plans to Buy House in Nigeria Amid Child Custody Battle with Halle Bailey

American rapper and YouTuber Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., widely known as DDG, has announced his intention to purchase a home in Nigeria amid an ongoing child custody dispute with his ex-girlfriend, Halle Bailey.
The rapper, who revealed plans in March to relocate to Lagos due to dissatisfaction with life in the United States, took to X on Friday to share that he is actively seeking property in the city. He posted, “Finna buy a house in Lagos, Nigeria. What’s a good area?”
In related developments, DDG’s attorney has addressed rumors claiming the rapper was denied a temporary restraining order (TRO) against Halle. Contrary to those reports, the lawyer confirmed that the court did grant DDG a TRO based on the serious allegations presented in his application.
The attorney also emphasized that custody matters remain unresolved and will be determined at a full evidentiary hearing, where both parties will have the chance to present their claims and defenses.
