Spanish Liga F side Atlético Madrid have confirmed that Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade will depart the club at the end of the season.
Ajibade’s contract is set to expire this summer, and both parties have mutually agreed to part ways.
The Nigerian forward will exit the club alongside Marta Cardona, Ainhoa Moraza, and Merle Barth.
“Our players Cardona, Ajibade, Moraza, and Barth will not continue as Red and White next season and will bid farewell to the fans on Sunday at Alcalá,” the club announced on X (formerly Twitter).
Ajibade, 25, joined Atlético Madrid in 2021 from Nigerian Women’s Football League side Robo Queens. During her time with the Spanish giants, she made 138 appearances and scored 40 goals.
She helped the club secure two major trophies: the Supercopa de España in 2021 and the Copa de la Reina in 2023.
