Zaidu Sanusi Included in FC Porto’s Squad for Inaugural FIFA Club World Cup

Nigeria international Zaidu Sanusi has been named in FC Porto’s squad for the inaugural edition of the FIFA Club World Cup, despite a difficult season marred by injury.
Sanusi, 27, featured sparingly for the Dragons last campaign after suffering a cruciate ligament injury that kept him out for approximately eight months. His limited playing time has fueled speculation about a possible summer exit, with the left-back reportedly seeking more consistent first-team opportunities.
With two years remaining on his contract, Sanusi will be aiming to use the Club World Cup—set to be hosted in the United States—to reignite his form and attract interest from potential suitors.
Porto are set to face Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami, Brazilian giants Palmeiras, and Egyptian champions Al Hilal in the group stage of the tournament.
