“You No Get Sense” — Davido Claps Back at Actress Sarah Martins Over Chioma Comments

Afrobeats icon Davido isn’t holding back. The music superstar recently slammed Nollywood actress Sarah Martins after she made a controversial comment about his wife, Chioma Rowland, in connection to a promotional restaurant launch.
On May 26, 2025, Martins took to Instagram to express her opinion about a new digital restaurant experience launched by Davido in collaboration with FoodCourt, a food delivery platform, as part of the rollout for his latest album, Timeless 5. In her post, she suggested that the venture should have been named in Chioma’s honor — not after the album.
“This is coming from a place of LOVE because I am a huge fan of OBO,” Martins wrote. “I honestly feel Davido’s restaurant should have been opened for Chioma or probably in her name because we’ve always known her to be a passionate, fantastic chef. I was really anticipating a day Davido would announce a restaurant for Chioma, not Davido’s restaurant. Again, this is not coming from a place of hate, and I’m happy for them regardless.”
However, Davido didn’t appreciate the unsolicited advice — and fired back with a blunt response that quickly went viral.
“U no get sense… no restaurant was opened, that was a promotional campaign with @foodcourt_app for my album 5️⃣… now take my wife’s picture off your page,” Davido commented under the post.
His direct clapback sparked an online frenzy, with fans rallying behind him, praising his swift defense of Chioma and criticizing Martins for what they deemed unnecessary and intrusive commentary.
While Martins claimed her comment came from a place of admiration, the incident has reignited conversations around celebrity boundaries, unsolicited opinions, and how far is too far when it comes to public commentary on personal relationships.
One thing is clear: Davido is standing firm when it comes to protecting his family — and he’s not here for the noise.
