Washington Offers $10M for Intelligence on Iran’s Supreme Leader and Senior Officials

The United States Department of State on Friday announced a $10 million reward for credible information on several top Iranian officials, including Mojtaba Khamenei, following the recent leadership transition in Tehran.

The offer is part of the Rewards for Justice Programme, which said it is seeking information about individuals it describes as senior figures tied to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), an organisation the U.S. considers responsible for planning, organising, and executing terrorism globally.

Among those named are Iran’s new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, appointed after the death of his father, former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, along with other senior officials such as security and military leaders.

The State Department said individuals who provide credible information that leads to the identification, location, or capture of those listed could be eligible for rewards of up to $10 million and possible relocation assistance under US protection.

The announcement comes amid heightened tensions between the United States and Iran, including recent conflict involving airstrikes and counterattacks after the death of Ali Khamenei earlier this year.
