Victor Osimhen Rejects Lucrative Saudi Offer, Pushes for Permanent Move to Galatasaray

Nigeria international Victor Osimhen has once again turned down a lucrative four-year offer from Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal, choosing instead to pursue a permanent transfer to Turkish giants Galatasaray.

Reports indicate that Al-Hilal made an offer worth €160 million for the striker, but Osimhen remains determined to continue his career at Galatasaray, where he spent last season on loan.

The striker reportedly expressed his desire directly to Galatasaray’s hierarchy, emphasizing his ambition to compete in the UEFA Champions League and his reluctance to join clubs in the Arabian league despite the financial incentives.

According to Turkish media outlet Milliyet via habersarikirmizi, Osimhen personally called club officials, urging them to expedite his transfer.

“I want to continue at Galatasaray,” Osimhen reportedly told the club’s officials. “Get my transfer fee from Napoli. They want to sell me to Saudi Arabia. They have plans to sell me for €100 million.”

Following Osimhen’s plea, Galatasaray president Dursun Özbek and Sportif AŞ vice-president Abdullah Kavukcu held urgent talks at Rams Park to discuss the situation.

However, Napoli remains firm in its valuation, demanding no less than £75 million for the striker. Galatasaray’s previous bids of €50 million, €60 million, and €65 million have all been rejected.

The Turkish side is currently negotiating with Napoli to meet Osimhen’s release clause by paying €25 million installments spread over three years, aiming to finalize the permanent move.
