Victor Osimhen Climbs Galatasaray Record Books Following Rizespor Triumph

Nigerian superstar Victor Osimhen has officially etched his name into the history of Galatasaray by becoming the fourth-highest scoring foreign player in the club’s illustrious history. The striker reached this milestone during a dominant 3-0 victory against Rizespor in the Turkish Süper Lig on Sunday.

The scoring opened in the 19th minute when Barış Alper Yılmaz found the back of the net, followed by a second goal from Yunus Akgün to double the visitors’ advantage. Osimhen solidified the win in the 73rd minute, clinical finishing ensuring Galatasaray secured all three points on the road.

This latest strike brings Osimhen’s total tally for the Istanbul giants to 52 goals. In doing so, he moves past the 51-goal record previously held by French forward Bafétimbi Gomis. The Nigerian international now trails only a select group of legendary figures in the club’s foreign scoring ranks.
