U.S. Orders Partial Evacuation of Iraq Embassy Amid Iran Tensions

The U.S. has ordered the evacuation of non-essential staff and families from its embassy in Baghdad, citing growing security concerns amid fears of an imminent Israeli strike on Iran.

According to officials, intelligence shared by Israel suggests possible Iranian retaliation that could target U.S. personnel in the region.

The State Department confirmed the move as a precaution, while defense officials authorized voluntary departures from Kuwait and Bahrain.

Trump warned Americans to leave the region, calling it “a dangerous place,” and reiterated U.S. opposition to Iran’s nuclear program.

Oil prices surged over 4% as tensions escalated. Talks with Iran are still expected to resume in Oman this weekend.
