Troops of the 6 Brigade Nigerian Army, operating under Sector 3 of Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS), successfully thwarted a kidnapping attempt and rescued three victims in a swift, intelligence-driven operation in Taraba State.

The operation, conducted on 5 January 2026, followed a credible intelligence report received by troops stationed in Jeb Jeb town. The report indicated the presence and activities of suspected kidnappers in Sangai Village, Bachama Ward, Karim Lamido Local Government Area.

Acting promptly, the troops mobilized and pursued the suspects toward the border area between Taraba and Plateau States.
