The Anambra State Police Command has declared that President Bola Tinubu’s successful official visit to the state is a clear indication that Anambra is safe and secure.
This was stated by the Commissioner of Police, Ikioye Orutugu, in a statement released on Friday in Awka through the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga.
During his visit, President Tinubu commissioned several major projects, including the Anambra State Government House, Solution Fun City, the Governor’s Lodge, the Presidential Lodge, and the Emeka Anyaoku Institute for International Studies and Diplomacy at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
Commissioner Orutugu praised the people of Anambra for their cooperation and support to security agencies before, during, and after the president’s visit.
“The successful hosting of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Awka reaffirms that Anambra State is safe for both residents and visitors,” the Commissioner said.
He emphasized that enhancing security through coordination and collaboration remains a proactive strategy for addressing safety challenges and creating a secure environment for all.
Orutugu also commended police officers and other security agencies for their dedication, improved coordination, and resilience in maintaining peace and order in the state.
