Tinubu Pledges to Unlock Potential of Every Nigerian State During Kaduna Visit
President commissions vocational institute, hails Kaduna as a model of sub-national progress and federal collaboration.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to unlocking the full potential of every state across Nigeria, as part of efforts to drive inclusive development and grassroots empowerment.
The president made the pledge on Thursday during a one-day working visit to Kaduna State, where he commissioned the Institute of Vocational Training and Skills Development in Rigachikun, Igabi Local Government Area. The ultramodern facility is named after the late Governor Alhaji Abdulkadir Balarabe Musa in recognition of his legacy.
Speaking shortly after the inauguration, Tinubu emphasized the importance of decentralizing development, empowering sub-national governments, and fostering collaboration between federal and state institutions.
“What Kaduna is doing is a clear sign of what is possible when sub-national governments are empowered, trusted, and supported from the centre to do more,” Tinubu said in a post shared via his official communication channels.
He described Kaduna as one of Nigeria’s most promising frontiers of progress and purpose, praising Governor Uba Sani for his focus on infrastructure, youth development, and economic reform.
The vocational institute, one of several transformative projects launched during Tinubu’s visit, aims to equip young Nigerians with practical skills for self-reliance, employment, and national productivity.
According to the president, such projects reflect a broader federal strategy to ensure that every state is positioned to serve its citizens “boldly and effectively.”
The visit underscores the Tinubu administration’s continued efforts to strengthen local capacity and decentralize development in ways that promote unity, innovation, and equitable growth across the country.
