Tinubu Needs Second Term to Complete Reforms – Keyamo

Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has emphasized the necessity of President Bola Tinubu securing a second term in office to complete the ongoing economic reforms initiated by his administration.

Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Keyamo underscored the critical nature of these reforms, warning that discontinuing them could lead to detrimental setbacks for the nation.

Keyamo urged members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to prioritize the re-election of President Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 elections. He stated, “It would be tragic for any government to come in 2027 and halt these reforms, as has occurred in the past with inchoate policies being implemented.” He further noted that the success of these reforms is pivotal for Nigeria’s economic future.

The Minister also highlighted the importance of unity within the APC, emphasizing that the party’s collective effort is essential to ensure the continuation of the reforms and the nation’s progress. He expressed confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership and the positive impact of the reforms on the country’s development.

This statement aligns with previous remarks by President Tinubu, who has indicated a focus on implementing necessary reforms for the nation’s benefit, rather than concentrating on the forthcoming election. He has expressed confidence that Nigerians will appreciate the long-term benefits of these tough decisions.

Keyamo’s call to action serves as a reminder of the APC’s commitment to sustaining the current administration’s policies and ensuring their successful continuation in the next term.
