Tragic news has emerged as Olivia Leedham, ex-girlfriend of Teen Mom alum David Eason, mourns the unexpected death of her 7-year-old daughter, Lailah Price.
A close friend of Leedham shared the heartbreaking update via a GoFundMe campaign created to support Olivia and her 11-year-old son, Kaden, during this difficult time. The campaign details the struggle Leedham has faced as she navigated multiple emergency room visits without a clear diagnosis for Lailah. Tragically, while hospitalized on the night of June 6, Lailah suffered a seizure and passed away early the following morning, June 7.
Leedham’s mother confirmed the devastating loss to PEOPLE.
The GoFundMe description reads: “Our friend Olivia Leedham tragically lost her beautiful seven-year-old daughter, Lailah Price, yesterday. She was in the emergency room several times without a diagnosis, and while in the hospital Friday night, she had a seizure and passed away early Saturday morning, June 7th. Olivia is a single mom to Kaden, age 11, and Lailah, age 7. Lailah was a bright light in our family and loved life and Jesus very much.”
Olivia Leedham shares custody of her son Kaden with David Eason following a court battle in 2019. Meanwhile, Eason married Teen Mom star Jenelle Evans in 2017. The couple shares daughter Ensley and went through an on-and-off separation beginning in 2019 before reuniting in 2020. In 2024, Evans officially announced their split, posting a TikTok video to confirm she had filed for separation and was beginning the process of divorce in North Carolina.
Over the years, Evans stood by Eason despite his legal troubles. In May 2019, she temporarily lost custody of their two younger children after Eason controversially shot their family dog for biting their toddler daughter. She regained custody by July that year. In November 2021, Eason was also arrested for driving with a revoked license and possession of an open container.
This latest tragedy marks a difficult chapter for Olivia Leedham and her family as they cope with an unimaginable loss.
